One More Wake Up!!!

It seems crazy that a week ago at this time we were getting the "kids" ready for the drive back from NH. It was a good trip, long, but good. And now we are waiting for one more wake up to go and pick up Brandon. He should be here sometime tomorrow morning. We have a clean house, laundry done, cakes made/bought and signs are ready. This is Joshua's first art project, I know it's less than stellar but we tried!!! I took the easy way out and used an ink pad instead of paint for his footprints.

Other than planning and prepping for homecoming, Joshua and I are tackling the huge task of childcare hunting. All I have to say is thank goodness I worked in the field so I know what to look for. The place we went to today would not be allowed to care for my dog. What happened to interacting and talking to infants??? Or having toys available to let them play with or look at??? And maybe some pictures at eye level or books?? I don't care how many times you restack the same 10 blocks. It's your job, give these babies somethings to do!! I was very annoyed. Too all my old Next Gen coworkers, you would have been appalled. This one little girl who was mobile just walked around the room and had nothing to do. I felt so bad for her. We will find the right fit for Joshua, but that was definitely not it. I must say it is an overwhelming task at times because you know me I have to have lists and do lots of research!!! Shocking I know!

Off to finish getting the last few things ready. Happy Friday everyone!! And for all those kiddos who went back to school this week, I hope you had a wonderful first week back. And a very special shout out to Miss Haley Paige who started kindergarten today :-) We are so proud of you!
