Happy 4th!

Been a pretty quiet weekend around here. Reese does not love the fireworks the neighbors have set off so she is currently snoring behind the recliner chair for the second night in a row. Got lots of cleaning done on Saturday and had a great visit with Johnette and Wes before they left for their big move. Yesterday was a bit of a disappointing day. It seems that due to an "unforeseen change in schedule" as the Captain says, Brandon's leave has been put in jeporady. So the new plan is to hope that he is at least not out to sea when things happen so he can at least get the phone call and not an email. The biggest frustration with all this was the fact that we had finally managed to get an airline ticket for him and now begins the hassle to see if we can get any of it back. It's a little pricey to fly home from Bahrain. We will roll with this like we usually do. As is our history, the best laid plans we have seem to get curtailed by the US Navy. Hope everyone had a safe and fun Fourth. It's been a hot and humid weekend here, and we are getting ready to have some big storms roll through. Hope they pass by before the fireworks everyone is waiting for. Back to work tomorrow for a few more days. Happy 4th of July!!!
