Thanksgiving Visit and Getting Ready for Santa!

Finally it's starting to feel like winter around here.  We actually had to break out Joshua's hat and had a frost the other morning.  It's hard to get in the holiday spirit when it's 73 out!!! Well at least for this New Englad girl.  Joshua helped pick out his first tree, and it's Reese first real tree too.
Big thanks to Blake and Cole for helping us decorate.  They did such a great job.  And the off course we had some fun times playing the Wii.

Happy Turkey Day!!!

Thanks Uncle Jason for my M&M bib and my rubber duckie from Las Vegas!!!
My new favorite past time....eating my toes.
 Prizes from Grammie's house....YAY!!!
I love my new high chair!!! Thanks Auntie Colie, Joey and Haley Paige!
The ever watchful eye of the Reese-Pie.
Getting ready for turkey day.  Joshua helped to make the green bean casserole.  He tried his hardest to pick up the green bean can with two hands.  Hercules!!!
We sure do love our little turkey!

A few pictures from the past few weeks.  I have been falling behind in updating this.  Over the past few months Joshua celebrated his first Halloween as a puppy dog, he was asleep by 6:45!!! He is a party animal.  He turned four months on the 12th of November and weighed in at 16.3 lbs.  He was 25 1/4 inches long but the doc said they didn't stretch him out enough because he looked longer.  And tomorrow he will celebrate his first Thanksgiving.  He is just starting solid foods.  He is not so sure about it, and definitely has not gotten used to it yet.  But we will keep trying.  Hope everyone has a nice Thanksgiving.

Last week home :-(

This past weekend we went to a wedding up in Massachusetts, here are a couple of pics from it.  Joshua was a super good boy.  It was pretty hot and humid so his cute little vest that went with this outfit had to be skipped.  Hopefully it will still fit him for turkey day!
Joshua will be starting at a home daycare 3 days a week next week. He had a trial run on Wednesday for about 3 1/2 hours.  He did great and even took a nap.  The change in routine tuckered him out though.  He was super snuggly and sleepy.  Hope he does well next week.  I will miss him wicked bad.
Joshua is loving his Bumbo seat and it gives him a whole new outlook on the world!
Yesterday morning Joshua woke up and didn't cry.  I found him quite content and happy chatting with the stars on his crib bumper.  He was all smiles.
And this is how Brandon and I spent last night after bath time for Joshua.  He fell asleep before his bottle and we just passed back our little sack of potatoes!!!

On the Road Again

Tomorrow night Brandon and I with the kiddos will hit the road back to NH.  It will be a busy whirlwind weekend but we are looking forward to it.  It will be nice to see friends and family and let Joshua spend some time with everyone.  He is doing great! He made it through his 2 month check up with flying colors.  And he even toughed it out for the shots.  He is full of smiles these days and I think we might have had a little laugh too.  He loves to lay on the floor and talk and play with his toys.  And he makes the best noises now.  Just a few pics from the last couple weeks.

Remembering 9/11 and Celebrating Grandparents Day

It is hard to believe it has been 10 years since September 11th happened. We had just moved to Maine and were heading back to Massachusetts for the day to take care of some paperwork things. We were listening to all the details on the drive down. And I was set to take care of Shannon and DJ while their parents went to Disney the following weekend. Their flights were cancelled and they ended up driving down. So many lives lost and our world changed forever. No matter how busy we get today take time to remember all those people who lost their lives that day. We will never forget.
Happy Grandparents Day wishes to Mimi and Pop-Pop! And a very special Happy 1st Grandparents Day to Grammie Jane!
Hugs and Smooches from Joshua and Reese

Welcome Home Daddy!

Busy day here in Chesapeake. Joshua and I picked up Brandon from the airport this morning and of course stopped to get the celebratory coffee on the way home. Then it was off to the Naval Hospital for my appointment. All is good! Yay! And then back home to spend some quality time with the kiddos. Joshua is all smiles and Reese has not left his side. She is currently passed out on his lap. We had a nice dinner and now I am listening to the two of them snore away. Joshua is out like a light in his crib too. And that chocolate cake I made him and have looked at for two days in the fridge will have to wait a little longer. Hope everyone has a great weekend! Thank you to everyone for the well wishes, cards, care packages and notes sent to Brandon while he was away. It surely makes it easier for him and for the crew. We appreciate each and every one of you. Lots of love!! xoxo - Joshua, Reese, Brandon and Nicole
