Today marks the two month mark since Brandon left. Sounds like they will be getting the ship in the water sometime in the next couple of days and then time will tell how the repairs went. Fingers are still crossed that we will be able to see Brandon in July for some leave time. Guess we will just have to wait and see. Reese and I are still plugging along here in VA. Enjoying the few days of reprieve from the hot humid weather. We spent a lot of the weekend unpacking all the goodies from the shower and finding them a home in the baby's room. We got Skype to work so Brandon was able to see all the baby stuff as I unpacked...with Reese's help of course. She was very interested in the stuffed animals, blankets and clothes. I am hoping it's because they smelled like Grammie's house. If not we will have to spend lots of time teaching her what toys are hers and which ones are not. She is very puzzled by the Giggle Puppy Toy that makes giggly noises and bounces all around. She just can't quite figure that one out. We did a trial run and left the door open to the baby room when I went to do errands and I am happy to report she was a good puppy and didn't take anything she wasn't supposed to. In fact over the past week she has brought her blankets in there to sleep, and also brought her babies in a little at a time. I am happy that she likes to be in there. Wonder what she will think with a little screamer in there too!
I know this is very late in making it's way onto here, but thank you again to everyone who came to the shower. It was so wonderful.
