Surprises on my Doorstep

It's been another busy week at work, and it's hard to believe it's already Friday. Not that I am complaining about having a weekend. Today was a rush to get to work, then a rush home at lunch to have the repairman work on the thermostat. For those of you not on Facebook, I have had a run of things breaking around here, the truck, the heat, the hot water...etc. That took all of 3 minutes. You see, it seems that the coil that the battery pressing onto was smooshed down to flat (yes smooshed is a technical term!!) so Mr. Fix-it pulls out his screwdriver and pries the metal piece away from the side. He replaces the batteries and tells me it should be fine now. I am a little skeptical of this since the frist comment he made when he walked in was "Oh that will need to be replaced, we don't even use these anymore." He left me his phone numbers and said to call if there was a problem and he would come back out and replace it. For the second time in two weeks I have had two seperate repair men tell me that they couldn't believe I worked such long hours. I think I need a job in home repairs, sounds like they have way better hours! Anyway I ran back to work, and then had to fly out of there to get to a command function. That was kind of a let down as only 3 people showed up. It was nice to catch up with the two people who were there. Hoping for a few more people at the next gathering. When I finally made it home at 8:30 I found a nice box of flowers on my steps. I thought it was just flowers but it had candy, a teddy bear and some bath salts. I got the deluxe bouquet this year. They are gorgeous. And I am once again very thankful for finding such a wonderful person to spend my life with. I am so lucky. And with some luck we just might be together next year on Valetine's Day. Happy Valentine's Weekend! Oh, and Reese got a new Dino-baby that Brandon had bought for her before he left. She really wants my teddy bear, which I think he may have intended her to have anyway. But for now she has her own brand new baby.
