This one goes out to Mom

What would I have done without all that I learned from all that baking with Mom growing up?? I attempted to make Chocolate Sugar Cookies tonight from a church cookbook. They sounded so delicious. Well, I started melting the chocolate chips to set aside when melted, then went to the next step which send to beat the butter until fluffy. Problem #1 - there is no butter listed in the ingredients. Hmmm....what to do. Well I decided to just roll with it and through in some butter. Problem #2 - I read along some more and there were some more incorrect instructions. I figured that part out too. Flip the page for the rest of the recipe and discover Problem #3 -the recipe never tells you what to do with the melted chocolate. So.....I decided to through it in the batter and hope for the best. Thankfully they turned out great. But I have learned my lesson to read a recipe all the way through before trying it. And thanks mom for all the baking you taught me that helped me figure this one out!! Love you!!!
