The Wonders of Duct Tape

A couple weekends ago Brandon decided to do some yard work. The bushes out front needed to be trimmed and the tree had grown so much the branches were all on the ground. I went and did the weekly Walmart run and came home to some big changes. It looked great, however the challenge was how to trim the top of the tree. The solution.....Duct Tape!!! It seems that the hedge clippers when appropriately fastened to the tree trimmer (meant to trim branches) with an adequate amount of duct tape will work perfectly. You just duct tape the switch permanently in the on position. Now when asked what happens if it fell on you and you got hurt??? I was promptly reminded "It's duct tape it won't come undone". That's when I left the front yard!!! I have to give credit where due though, the yard looked great and there were no injuries. Who knew???

And an updated post would not be complete without a Reese-pie update. She is fantastic. We so lucked out with this puppy. She is so much fun. The first pic - we decided to get a rug to cover the open space on the kitchen floor. She likes to rough house with Brandon especially and in an attempt to salvage the linoleum and not have to pay to replace it when we leave we decided on the rug. Also she runs so fast on the linoleum she was skidding out on it. Very Scooby-Doo like. Well she loves the rug and has been lounging around on it. I was trying to rearrange it and she refused to get off of it. So, we moved the rug with Reese on it. She is just a bit spoiled. And the second pic shows off her new favorite toys. She loves raquet balls and tennis balls. She is too funny with them. She will bounce them all around the house and throw them in the air and catch them. Brandon taught her to catch so she loves that game. She also discovered it works good with cereal as well as her balls!!! And with the new rug she spent this evening playing ball in the kitchen while I paid bills. She is a little possesive though. As you can see, she collected a few of the balls and is keeping a close eye on them. Guess that's all from Hawthorne Dr. Busy with work and enjoying the little time we can manage to squeeze in together. More pics soon - I promise!
