Still Hanging Around in Chesapeake...

I know it's been WAY too long since I posted on here. We have been busy around here. Brandon has his first weekend off since May this past weekend and he is back on duty again for this one. We are all doing well, and constantly entertained with Miss Reese. She is a ton of fun. She has been pretty good lately, except for when there are thunderstorms. She doesn't like being home alone in her kennel for the storms, and she has chewed on it a little more. So far Houdini-dog has stayed inside the kennel. We have had lots of summery warm weather and tons of humidity. With that some nasty thunderstorms and downpours. Summer in VA I guess. We are still on our New England countdown. We can't wait to be back. My hair will love the not so humid weather too!!! Below are some pictures from the past month or so. I flew home for a quick weekend in July for a former co-workers wedding. And of course some pics of the puppy. She was taken care of my a friend from work when I flew home (Brandon was at work) and she was wonderful. She is just a little spoiled!! The last pics are of some new cookies I made this week for a co-worker. I am pretty happy with them, hope she is. Hope everyone is doing well. We miss you all terribly. And we are on official countdown, tomorrow make 8 days until Kenny Chesney!!! Woohoo!!! I am not too excited about that!
****For those of you concerned about Ms. Conway, she is still alive and well. In fact when we were driving to the airport for me to fly home in a terrible storm she felt the need to call Brandon't cell phone. She didn't leave a message. Since it was storming so bad I thought we should call her back just in case anything happened at the house and she was trying to let us know. Oh no...that would be too easy!! She was calling because there was a power outage and she couldn't get her garage door open. She called her daughter who told her to just call one of her neighbors to come and open the garage door for her. She wanted her to drive to her daughters house so she wasn't alone in the storm without power. I told her we were up at the airport and she lectured me on how it was a "sad day around here for us old people when there are no neighbors around to help them out". Then she promptly hung up on me. Now....if you ask me, it would make more sense for her daughter who is in her 60's to drive out and pick up her mother instead of having her mother who is 86 drive in the sideways rain to her house. There I go thinking again??? I should know better!
