When Brandon was in port last week he was able to send off some emails with pictures he had taken overseas. He couldn't send too many since their connections are so slow over there, and it took forever to get these ones sent. The first few are pictures from the Villa he stayed at when he first got to Bahrain. It was pretty nice he said, complete with maid service. I was suprised how nice the rooms looked, neat and clean and what not, but then he reminded me that they do all the cleaning and bed making for them!! Maybe he can bring me back a maid from Bahrain. 
No carpeting in the house...with all the fine sand that blows around, it gets into everything. We were chatting online one night and he discovered he had sand in his ear....post shower! And having to stand watch in a couple sandstorms he said he is quite sure he had discovered sand in places the sun has never shone on. He has such a way with words sometimes!!!
These next few are taken from the boat, the first is a sunrise, the second is a view from being on board, the water looks pretty nice to me. And the last is the oil platforms. 
We are on official countdown now and if we are lucky he will be home around the 2oth. Can't wait. He is looking forward to not have to stand watch 10 hours a day and barely sleep more than a couple hours at a time. And not sleeping in a tiny rack will be a huge perk too. He has been, as he likes to say, "tickled to death" with the cards, notes, and care packages that he has received. The team is very happy too with the snacks that he received. They want to keep him around! You all helped him to feel a lot closer to home. Thank you from both of us!

thanks for sharing the pics and for the update! glad to hear brandon is doing well and we will keep our fingers ( and toes) crossed he will be home soon!
