Things have been pretty busy around here. Brandon and I went to TN a few weekends back to have an early Thanksgiving and Birthday for his Dad. It was a nice get away from the busy pace of life here in VA. It is always quiet and peaceful out that way. We also had a really nice visit with Ron and Jane, their next door neighbors, and were able to go to church with his dad too. I wish their church was closer to us. The pastor they have is really awesome. And we went for a walk around Bay's Mountain near his parents house. The leaves had mostly fallen at this point, but it was still pretty. They also have animals there and they had quite a few wolves and deer out while we were there. The top picture is from our walk around the mountain.
Other than work being super busy, we are getting ready to come home for a few days next week. We can't wait. It will be so nice to be back in New England for a while. I feel like it has been so long since I have been there, and I was back in July for a few days. Brandon is on "Mom's Apple Pie" countdown. He is pretty excited to say the least.
Ever since I made the sugar cookies for Halloween, the work crew has been hounding me for some more. Since we will not be here for Thanksgiving I made them a double batch to enjoy tomorrow. Maybe with a double batch they might make it through lunch time!! No guarantees though!
