Sundays are made for fishing.

Brandon's friend Richie called late Saturday and asked us to go fishing again with him. He wanted to take us on a bit of a longer trip this time around so we went. It was a beautiful day, and there was just enough breeze on the water to make it comfortable. We went out along the Chesapeake Bay Bridge/Tunnel and anchored a couple different times. It didn't take long for Richie to catch a small sea bass, then perhaps the ugliest fish I have ever seen the Oyster Toad Fish. But the best was the shark!!! Yup, first shark I have seen close up. Course this does nothing for my desire to
swim in the ocean.
Hey I caught that one!
We continued on to another area where we could dock for a short time. It is a huge state park with a nice little beach. And off the coast there are a whole group of concrete ships. They are old World War I - I think I could be wrong on that - ships that were made all of concrete since it was so inexpensive. They were pretty cool to look at though. Along the way we did end up seeing a ton of sting rays. I guess it is mating season and they are swimming close to the surface. I have never seen so many! There were a lot of I think Richie called them skates. And I caught two of them. As you can see, I don't mind catching them, but I will pass on touching them. They are not poisonous I don't think but they have these barb things along their tail. When we anchored that time it was near a shallow portion of the bay and when the swells came in over certain parts the waves actually crested in the middle of the bay. It also brought some big waves in to rock the boat. And I am happy to report...I did not get sea sick!!!
