Finally, after much effort we are able to get some pictures up for everyone to see. There are a few of our trip down. We stopped halfway in Hershey, Penn. and went to Chocolate World.
And while tempted I had to pass on buying the HUGE Hershey bar for $30!!! Then we headed to TN and spent some time with Dad. We took him golfing twice, and yes, I must admit I do like it. I know that is shocking to everyone!!! Believe me, I am still eating my words on the whole golf topic!! After transporting the top layer of our wedding cake for two days, we opted to have an early anniversary celebration. The cake was actually pretty good still thanks to Miss Jane's extra wrapping of it. We had our doubts that it would last until November and more days of travelling.
After TN we headed to Vanessa's house for a day or so, and ran into the worst thunderstorms I have ever seen. I was driving behind Brandon and the trailer in the torrential rain, crazy wind and funnel clouds. We did a lot of praying that none of the trees would fall on us on the way. There were several down that we had to drive around. We were able to attend Ashley's last day of school celebration which was really nice. Then we hit the road on the 6th for our new house. We hit tons and tons of traffic that afternoon and finally made it to the house around 5:00 pm, and the rest is history so they say! Lots of unpacking, cleaning, emailing and job hunting.
I am working getting our wedding albums done so the photographer can order them. I have put it off long enough and no excuses now, better get cracking. It has been an adventure so far, and I am hoping to get more proficient at this to keep you all posted on our happenings. There are a few pics of our boating trip Sunday with Brandon's friend Richie. It was a beautiful day, so we went out did a little fishing and went out to the ghost fleet. I have heard lots about this but had never seen it. It was pretty amazing, the ships are huge and just anchored out in the bay on standby I guess. Although, most of them look in rough shape to be brought back to work.
And yes, I was the only one who caught any fish!!!
Brandon is back to work and not a happy camper all that much. He has two work out sessions a day and he is not used to that. He does seem to like the people and is home early afternoon so there are bonuses. Forgive the layout issues I am still trying to figure out how to get the pictures up in a more orderly fashion! Guess I need some practice!
